25 Years of Memories for Father Michael

30 July 2009

Parish Priest of St Francis of Assisi in Nailsea Father Michael McAndrew, enjoyed the Year 6 end of term production in the parish school.  He also received a special gift to mark his first 25 years as a priest.

Having enjoyed the show ‘Fleeced’ Father Michael was presented with cards from the children and staff, and a silver birch tree to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his ordination.

One of the pupils said: “I like Father Michael because he always makes us laugh”, while another said: “He teaches us about God and he tells funny stories”.

Father Michael said: “I was delighted that part of my silver jubilee celebrations was with St Francis School.

“It was a great event and the gift of a silver birch tree was very appropriate for the occasion.

“Looking forward the next 25 years!”
