25 and 26 April 2009
Location: Novotel
Address: Victoria Street, Bristol BS1 6HY
Distinguished Catholic politician Baroness Julia Cumberlege addresses the issue at the National Conference of the Catholic Medical Association, held this year in Bristol.
Baroness Cumberlege is most well known for her position as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Health, which she held from 1992 to 1997. She has contributed heavily to the NHS.
The Baroness is also recognised for her involvement in the Church’s review to the Nolan Report concerning child welfare in the Church.
Her speech promises to provide a rare insight into the running of our health service on a national level, as well as in answer to a thought provoking and so far unanswered question.
The Clifton Diocese is delighted to welcome this distinguished national conference to Bristol for the first time. The event takes place from the 25 to 26 April and already boasts an abundance of high caliber speakers.
All those involved in healthcare are welcome to attend the conference.
