The Global Interns Programme is a four month intensive programme commencing September 2007. Interns will receive world class preparation and induction at the University of Cambridge before joining the International Young Leaders Network core colloquium at Oxford University.

After some further preparatory work interns will then be placed in a world class think tank, UN NGO office or parliament to work as an intern. All placements will be in a country other than the applicant’s country of origin.

In December 2007 interns travel to South Africa benefit from gain additional 'exposure' visits linked to the University of Witwatersrand.

To apply for the Global Interns Programme you should have fluent English and one other language, a good degree preferably in a social science discipline and be able to demonstrate your Christian commitment and engagement.

A spokesperson for the International Young Leaders Network said, “We welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds as we recognise that intense learning can take place in a wide range of sectors and activities including - but not only - the academic sphere. Baptism is our call to leadership and our programme seeks to enable participants to take that call forward with focus, energy, rich theological insights and a grounded spirituality. If you care about "what matters", seek to analyse "what counts" and want to deliver "what works" for real change IYLN is a place for you.”

The International Young Leaders Network enjoys support from leading policy makers, writers, Church leaders, academics, entrepreneurs and social innovators.
