Cathedral Dean

Canon Alan Finley will be coming to the Cathedral as Dean in succession to Monsignor Robert Corrigan who is to become a Chaplain in the Royal Army Chaplains Department.
Canon Alan said, in the Cathedral parish newsletter, “May I briefly say how I look forward to serving you the Cathedral parishioners, staff and the diocese and the many visitors, as best I can when I come to you as Parish Priest in the 13th of September.
“I thanks Bishop Declan for placing his trust in me and assure Monsignor Robert of my prayers and good wishes as he prepares to leave.
“I ask very much for your prayers, which I know I will have.
“To those who remember me from 1975 to 1980, I look forward to seeing you again. That is if we can recognise each other! With my good wishes and prayers for you all.”
