An opportunity to engage with God’s word. The final talk in the series
Our Department for Adult Education and Evangelisation has organised the series of talks led by John Huntriss.
Father Christopher Whitehead the Director of our Department for Adult Education and Evangelisation said: “The Diary of God is a wonderful opportunity to have the richness of the scriptures opened up for us.
“It allows us just to venture a little deeper in our understanding of the Word of God that we may just hear each week at Mass.
“John Huntriss will, over the eight sessions, invite us to familiarise ourselves once again with the Scriptures and explore the rich treasures that are contained within the Bible.
“Through deepening our understanding of the Word of God, we come to a richer appreciation of the God who seeks to enter into our lives and into relationship with us. To know his Word is to know him - to know him is to know something about who we are as made in his image and likeness.
“This short course seeks to introduce authors, styles, and sacred writing to us in a way that only draws us to want to know more. All you have to bring along with you is a copy of the Bible and desire to delve deeper into the story of God reaching out in love towards his people.”
The course also runs at Sacred Heart Church in Westbury-on-Trym in Bristol.
