Students at Cheltenham’s
All Saints’ Academy plan fundraising events for their house to support a local charity. The students have recently chosen charities they would like to support.
All Saints’ houses, which are named after famous Cathedrals, were given the choice of lots of local charities. The most popular was then chosen for each house.
Canterbury chose Help for Heroes
Durham chose CLIC Sargent
Westminster chose Cancer Research
York chose Winston’s Wish
Students spent time with their tutor group planning activities to raise money for their charity. The students researched their charity and were shown video footage from each charities website.
Kerri Skelding from All Saints’ said: “It was great to see the students get excited about raising money for charity. The ideas that I have heard are very pleasing, innovative and creative. I hope to help the students put them into practise in the coming months.”
