1 November 2011
The official opening of All Saints’ Academy in Cheltenham was marked today (1 November) - All Saints Day. Bishop Declan blessed the iconic building and led a service along with the Bishop of Gloucester Right Reverend Michael Perham. Britain’s greatest ever Olympian Sir Steve Redgrave was also part of the inspirational opening.
Bishop Declan said: “Together the dioceses of Clifton and Gloucester are showing our commitment to young people, helping them to flourish as individuals and to become active members of our communities.
“All Saints Day celebrates the great potential that each one of us can become. It’s a fitting day for the opening of this new academy recognising the great potential of all present and future students.”
