Another of our schools has been judged to be outstanding by the inspectors at Ofsted. The lively community at St Francis Catholic Primary in Nailsea are celebrating this important recognition as Angela Parry reports for
cliftondiocese.com.
The report recognises that our school puts pupils at its heart and that we are able to successfully combine high expectations towards learning with developing “thoughtful, caring and very mature young people.”
Inspectors commented that our school is a vibrant learning community full of happy and well motivated pupils and wherever you are in school pupils’ enjoyment is evident. As a result of this and the highly effective teaching children receive, their progress is outstanding and achievement is high.
In their letter to pupils the inspection team congratulated the children on the high quality of their work and their ability to work “incredibly hard” in lessons. They were also impressed with their excellent behaviour and the way in which they were able to work together. The inspectors reported that the way “children work so successfully together is impressive. All the staff want the pupils to achieve their best and they do.”
