The Catholic Church’s mission to seafarers is
well supported in our diocese and now those supporters and everyone else can now enjoy finding pout much more about their important ministry.
Marina Mazzocchi of the
Apostleship of the Sea said: “Some of you keen visitors to our
website may have noticed that for the last few months access has been restricted and you will have seen a notification informing you that the website has been under construction. Well we can now proudly announce that our brand new, fully functioning website is live and ready to be used.
“The
address is the same but you will notice instantly that there has been a big change both in how it looks and how it can be used. The change was necessary as our old website, though much loved, was (in the terms of the digital age) very old and did not have many of the functions that are necessary in today’s digital world.
“A lot of thought and effort has been put into designing our new site, so it will be easier to read, easier to use and easier to find all the information you need. It also has the new and added features of allowing people to donate to us online, for you to send us a message through the website and for new supporters to sign up online. These were all things that people asked for in their supporter surveys. We listened and based our new website on all your comments. We love it and although it’s a change, we hope you love it too!”
