Along with many others throughout the Clifton Diocese, students at the
universities in Bath are involved in ‘Seeking the Face of Christ’.
‘Seeking the Face of Christ’ is the diocese-wide initiative looking at
planning for the future of all our communities.
In response, Father Bill McLoughlin OSM, Catholic Chaplain to the
universities in Bath is engaging the ideas of students and staff in his
communities. Thoughts are being shared in a series of 45 minute evening
meetings in the Catholic Chaplaincy Centre, at St John the Evangelist
on South Parade.
The first meeting took place on Monday 23 April and focussed on ‘Made
in the Image and Likeness of God’ with a good exchange of views between
the participants.
The next sessions will be on Monday 7 May - ‘God in all things’ and
Monday 21 May - ‘The Communion of God’s People’ and ‘Revealing the face
of Christ’. Both begin at 6.45 pm.
Ann Fowler, a member of the ‘Seeking the Face of Christ’ steering
group, said, “I’m delighted young Catholics in Bath are taking this
opportunity to contribute their views and experiences as we plan
together for the future of our diocese.”
