Strangely, I was only thinking of Bishop Mervyn during the week and wondering how he was. I remember him as a man who radiated kindness and who genuinely cared for his flock. May God grant him peace.

A very sad day indeed but what a great man and God's servant. Bishop Mervyn resided over the confirmation which was to be his last at Stroud. What a moving celebration it was. Stephanie, my daughter was one of the many to receive the blessing of confirmation that day. It was Stephs 23rd Birthday yesterday.
