Bishop Mervyn’s Reception

Details of Bishop Mervyn Alexander’s funeral have been confirmed.

His body will be received into the Cathedral on Sunday 22 August at 5.30 pm by the Cathedral Chapter.  Mass will be celebrated at 6.00 pm and there will be a Vigil until 10.00 pm.

Bishop Declan will celebrate Bishop Mervyn’s Requiem Mass on Tuesday 24 August at 11.30 am.  This will be followed by burial in the Cathedral grounds.  The Cathedral will be open from 10.00 am.  Please arrive early to ensure a seat. 

A Requiem Mass will also be celebrated in the Cathedral on Monday 23 August at 7.30 pm.
