Bishops' Conference Newsletter of the Gypsy and Traveller Support Network
The Bishop of Lancaster, Right Reverend Patrick O’Donoghue, speaking on
behalf of the Department for Christian Responsibility & Citizenship
of the Bishops Conference of England and Wales, has called on the
Catholic community to give greater support to Gypsies and Travellers.
The Department has established a Travellers Issues Working Group, and the working group is developing a National Support Network for those involved in some form of ministry to Travellers. As part of this initiative, the Working Group has begun producing Pilgrim Catholic, a twice-yearly newsletter for the Network. The first issue of Pilgrim Catholic was published in February 2006 and can be downloaded below.
