Caring for Catholic Patients

As a result of legislative changes, it has proved more difficult for Catholic Chaplains in hospitals to access the information they require to minister properly to Catholic patients. A committee of the Bishops’ Conference chaired by Bishop Thomas Williams has issued two new publications which should prove useful to people in the Clifton Diocese.

The first, A Guide to Catholic Chaplaincy for NHS Managers and Trusts, is intended for healthcare professionals and costs £10.00; the second, Meeting the Pastoral Needs of Catholic Patients, contains advice for clinicians, carers and patients and costs just £1.50.
