A number of Catholics are volunteering at one of the world’s most exciting cultural events – the Glastonbury Festival. We talk with Taunton parishioner Doug Lowe live from the ‘Sanctuary Marquee’.
The Sanctuary Marquee is the ‘Church at the Festival’ – and we spoke with Doug Lowe from Taunton's St Teresa's parish. He's already on site and joins us on the phone from the Sanctuary Marquee.
You can listen to our podcast in the multimedia panel on the right.
Mass will be celebrated by Father Robert King on Sunday (29 June) at 10.30 am in the Sanctuary Marquee.
The Sanctuary Marquee works with Somerset Churches Together, and provides the ‘Church at the Festival’. It is on Church Lane at the festival site.
The Catholic presence at last year’s festival was popular, with a well-attended Mass and a visit by Bishop Declan.
BBC Radio Bristol and BBC Somerset's 'Sunday Starts' will have more from the Sanctuary Marquee this Sunday morning. Father Robert King will be chatting with presenter Trevor Fry as he prepares for the festival Mass.
You can listen to ‘Sunday Starts' every Sunday from 6.00 am to 10.00 am.
