Celebrating St Angela’s

11 May 2010
Location: Clifton Cathedral
Address: Pembroke Road, Bristol BS8 3BX
Time: 7.00 pm

A special Mass in the Cathedral to thank the Sisters of the Temple who ran St Angela’s Home.

Cathedral Dean Canon Alan Finley told cliftondiocese.com: “The Sisters of the Temple, a Congregation of French Sisters, have run a residential and nursing home in Clifton since 1920.  Prior to that they ran homes in our diocese since 1867.  They have given unstinting love and care to many sick and elderly priests of our diocese - at present Bishop Mervyn Alexander and two retired priests live there.

“They have now handed over the running of the home to the St John of God Association.  Sisters Marie-Louise, Anne and Philippe have left Clifton.  We wish them every happiness in the future in their vocation and thank them for all they have done for and given to our diocese and parish.   Please pray for them.  There will be a Mass of Thanksgiving, with Mother General present, followed by refreshments on Tuesday 11 May in the Cathedral and Apostle Room.”
