Vianney Group

John Mary Vianney is the patron saint of parish priests worldwide. His example of fidelity and service have inspired countless millions over the years. He said, on many occasions that “The priesthood is the love of Jesus”. If only we could all take that to heart! Jesus must be the focus of all we do as priests. He must also be the focus of those discerning a vocation to priesthood

Vianney GroupWith this is in mind, and taking St John Mary Vianney as an intercessor and a model of priesthood, Fr Matt runs a discernment group for men thinking about priesthood.

The Vianney Group meets every couple of months. Details can be found by emailing Fr Matt at vocations@cliftondiocese.com

Fr Matt says the following:

“The Vianney Group format has worked really well, although we don’t meet that regularly. We have, however, managed to arrange a trip to Rome; a pilgrimage to Ars; a couple of discernment retreats. Recently, four men considering the priesthood made a trip with me and Fr Isidore Obi to St John’s Seminary, Wonersh.

How do I find out more?
