Ecumenical Commission’s Joint Study Day Local Methodists

The Clifton Diocese Ecumenical Commission is holding a special joint study day with its Methodist counterpart on on ‘The Grace Given You in Christ’ the recent document produced by the International Commission for Dialogue between the Roman Catholic Church and the World Methodist Council.
Bishop Declan and Reverend Ward Jones, Methodist Chair of Bristol Methodist District will be taking part in the day that is open to all Catholics in the Clifton Diocese and Methodists in the District.
Anne Doyle, Chair of the Clifton Diocese Ecumenical Commission, said, “We’ll be exploring what gifts we share and what we could share, as well as challenge what the two churches see as essential and what can be let go in the cause of Christian Unity.”
“We will be talking about ‘The Grace Given You in Christ’ and listening to what it says to our local churches; and how we might rise to the challenge.
