A South West Churches Regional Forum event entitled ‘A Place in the Country’.
The Clifton Diocese Department of Liturgy is staging an event for clergy and liturgy coordinators. The day will focus on creatively celebrating the liturgy in Lent and Easter.
The services will be led by Parish Priest and Dean of Glastonbury Father Kevin Knox-Lecky.
At the heart of our Christian life is the understanding that each of us is called by God. We recall the words of Christ who said “You did not choose me, no I chose you”. Not only does Christ choose, he calls us and knows us by name. Both of these are encapsulated in the Rite of Election which is celebrated in Clifton Cathedral at the beginning of Lent each year.

Last year Bishop Declan began the consultation process ‘Seeking the Face of Christ’. The aim of the process was to ask “what is it we need to do to be more effectively church in the 21st century?” Everyone was asked to think about what strategies we need to put into place individually, as a parish and as a diocese as a whole to help us evangelise more successfully and live more faithfully the Good News
