‘Face to Faith’ - Direct from Lourdes

Face to FaithBCfm’s programme that explores Bristol’s views on spirituality, faith, religion, inspiration and community is coming direct from Lourdes this Monday (25 August). 

Many people taking part in the diocesan pilgrimage to the French shrine will feature on the programme that’s on air at 3.00 pm. 

Bishop Declan is leading the diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes this week (Friday 22 August to Friday 29 August) and he will be one of the guests on the specially extended ‘Face to Faith’. 

Many Catholics from the West of England are with the Bishop marking the 150th anniversary of the French town becoming a place of pilgrimage.

Face to Faith’ is broadcast every Monday at 3.00 pm and repeated on Tuesday at 11.00 am and Sunday at 4.00 pm.   The programme is usually one hour - but has been specially extended to 90 minutes for this unique programme - direct from Lourdes.

Father Robert King, the Catholic Chaplain to the University of Bristol, has a regular slot on ‘Face to Faith’.  His popular ‘Father Robert’s Review’ covers all aspects of cultural activity in and around Bristol.  From the latest films to tours of the city, Father Robert’s radio pieces have led him to be dubbed the ‘cultural cleric’.

Father Robert will be part of the Lourdes special programme.  He’s reviewing the Oscar winning film ‘The Song of Bernadette’.
