Faith & Light Celebration

Communities from the south of England will be celebrating ‘A Feast of Light’. All are welcome.
Later in the year - during the week after Easter there will be meeting at St Cassian’s Retreat Centre at Kintbury.

Started by Jean Vanier when he heard of the plight of a family from Belgium who were treated with rejection when they took their two severely learning disabled children to Lourdes.
Jean and his friend Helen Mathieu decided that together with parents, carers and the learning disabled they would organise a pilgrimage to Lourdes. Three years later, three thousand people descended on Lourdes and from this small beginning, Faith and Light was born. Faith and Light is now an international charity which has communities in over 80 countries. They meet regularly for prayer, celebration and friendship.
