Young people from around the Clifton Diocese are invited to take part
in special events aimed at engaging young leaders in a vision of hope.
International Young Leaders Network is the ultimate political, social
and envisioning event for young Christians aged 18 to 33 is run by the
Von Hugel Institute and Blackfriars Hall, Oxford and open to those of
Christian conviction. The event takes place at Oxford University from
10 to 16 September; as well as in Berkshire and the North West this
November.
Francis Davis of the Von Hugel Institute said, “I am delighted to let
young people in the Clifton Diocese know that we are seeking
nominations and applications for events which in the past have
attracted speakers such as cabinet ministers, shadow cabinet ministers,
world class leadership specialists, academics and senior business,
voluntary sector and church leaders not to mention leaders in the
development field.
“If you are, or know someone, who has the stuff to lead in the future
and is currently aged 18 to 33 we would like to invite them to Oxford
University from 10 to 16 September for a life changing residential
event with young people of many nationalities but with the same vision.
“In November we are then running high profile and high impact days with
St Mary's School, Ascot and first rate speakers from Heythrop College,
University of London.
“Following that, jointly with the Young Christian Workers - and for a
whole week in November - we will be running national events jointly
with the Young Christian Workers throughout the North West and in
London.
“This whole programme is themed about the world for tomorrow offering
‘faith in the future - engaging young leaders in a vision of hope’”
Thanks to the generosity of a charitable trust the Von Hugel Institute
has excellent bursary and scholarship facilities especially for those
nominated by mission organisations, for women and those from Eastern
Europe.
