Family Reunited

27 March 2009

Very early this morning (27 March) Dieumerci Kasongo Kongolo was reunited with his three young children and partner Stella.  Dieumerci is the parishioner of inner-city Bristol’s St Nicholas of Tolentino who was detained two weeks ago.

Parish Priest Father Richard McKay and Dieumerci’s fellow St Nick’s parishioners have supported Dieumerci and his family following his detention and threatened removal.  He is seeking refuge in this country and was taken away from his family - all of whom are British citizens.

Now back home in Bristol Dieumerci talks about the past couple of weeks in our podcast which you can hear in the multimedia panel on the right.  Stella, Father Richard and the children can also be heard.

For more about the prayers and support the people of St Nick’s have given follow the links back through this month’s stories.

Praise the Lord!!!
This is a great delight. God, The Almighty, has shown us that nothing is impossible with Him! Special thanks to Father Richard McKay, who has been fighting any kind of injustice in his Community.

May God blessings rest upon all the parishioners, who have always shown solidarity with their brothers and sisters in Christ.

Shalom!
