Father James Mallon talks about parish renewal and new evangelisation – tickets available

Many people and parishes are reading and using Divine Renovation as a tool to explore transforming parishes from mere maintenance to vibrant missionary communities of disciples.  Hosted by the diocese of Portsmouth there is an opportunity to hear Fr James Mallon from St Benedict’s, Halifax, Nova Scotia, talk about parish renewal and new evangelisation. Fr. James will share with us the many ways for bringing our parishes to life. Through humorous and colourful stories, Fr James challenges us to rethink our models of parish life, from membership-based communities to assemblies of disciples of Jesus who proclaim and share the good news with all peoples. Accessible and engaging, the book Divine Renovation turns to the Church’s many writings on evangelisation and mission so as to articulate practical ways for injecting new life into our parishes. Priests, members of parish pastoral councils and all in parish ministry will be inspired by Fr James and turn to the book for many years to come.

Participation is by ticket and you can find out how to apply for tickets here.
