Our parish priest in Winchcombe, Father Peter Slocombe will be back broadcasting later this year. Father Peter is one of the breakfast show presenters on
Radio Winchcombe.
Radio Winchcombe is the popular community station in the Cotswold town and it will be on air again from 31 October.
Radio Winchcombe is a great example of community coming together in small towns and is likely to feature in the Sunday Times ‘Radio Waves’ column in October.
Of course Father Peter is
not our only priest playing an important role in local communications. In Wellington Father Bob Rainbow is often up early broadcasting his thoughts for the day on
10Radio. In Bristol Father Robert King has picked-up the nickname ‘
The Cultural Cleric’ for his weekly
cultural review on BCfm’s
Face to Faith. Father Robert is also a regular on BBC Radio Bristol’s
Thought for the Day alongside our Weston-super-Mare Dean Father
Gerry Walsh.
