24 September 2009
As hundreds more came to St Teresa of the Child Jesus Church in Filton to witness the departure the relics of St Thérèse of Lisieux this morning (24 September), cliftondiocese.com brings more podcasts of the amazing occasion in the life of the diocese.
You can listen to our podcasts in the multimedia panel on the right. You can hear from Father Michael McAndrew, Father James Finan our Assistant Priest at Holy Rood in Swindon, Canon John Udris, Father Tom Finnegan and the dedicated young parishioners at Filton who gave up their time to looks after visitors.
Father Michael McAndrew tells us about the special atmosphere. Father James Finan describes the atmosphere in the packed coach travelling along the M4 from Swindon. Canon John Udris is the Dean of Northampton Cathedral and a member of the national organising group for the once in a lifetime nationwide tour. He tells us about his unique role. Father Tom Finnegan gives a moment of his time of his busiest day as a priest, and the stewards tell us of their honour to be involved in such a special visit.
There’s more reaction to the visit from Bishop Declan in our podcast from last night and you can watch Father Robert King’s video featuring some of the pilgrims.
Follow the nationwide tour at catholicrelics.co.uk and the St Thérèse relics blog.
