Fr. Boniface Hill and Fr. Jean-Patrice Coulon lead Pilgrims at Fatima Centenary Celebrations

From 11 to 15 July, Fr. Boniface Hill of Downside Abbey, and  Fr. Jean-Patrice Coulon MSFS of Holy Ghost Church in Yeovil, will lead 32 pilgrims during their pilgrimage to Fatima. The pilgrims will be present at the very important Procession and International Mass on 13 July, when those present will especially remember the Blessed Virgin Mary’s message to the three shepherd children given on this day in 1917.

Hundreds of thousands of pilgrims are likely to be present, so the celebrations will be a significant event in the life of the Church. Whilst in Portugal, in addition to the group learning more about the message of Fatima, they will also be exploring places of interest in the area. You can follow the Pilgrimage on the pilgrim’s blog

The National Pilgrim Virgin Statue (NPVS), together with the Relics of Saints Francisco and Jacinta Marto, visited Downside Abbey on 4 May. You can see details and photographs of the event here

The NPVS and Relics will be at Clifton Cathedral on 19 August 2017
