GCSE Achievements at Local Catholic School
Prior Park College pupils celebrated another outstanding set of GCSE
results this year with almost a quarter of all grades being at A*
level.
Over 28% of all pupils achieved nine or more A* or A grades. Top student Susannah Powell came in the top five in the country in Spanish and English Literature. Twins, Gabrielle and Georgina Churchhouse, achieved twenty A* & A grades between them, both achieving 6A* and four A grades. Following recent Oxbridge Choral Scholarship success the Music department achieved 100% A* and A grades. All three Sciences and English Language achieved 100% A-C grades.
The Headmaster, Dr Giles Mercer, said, "I am very proud indeed of our GCSE candidates and their teachers. Not only are the results at the top cause for warmest celebration but there is real strength in depth and so we are delighted with the results of all our candidates who heeded advice and worked hard to achieve many magnificent results."
