This year pupils at Prior Park College, Bath achieved the highest ever
top grades with 67% of grades being at A and B level. 53% pupils gained
3 or more A's or B's at A level.
Notable successes were Andrew Johnson who gained a Choral Scholarship
at Magdalen College, Oxford, the college’s second Choral Scholar at
Magdalen and the fifth Choral Scholar to Oxbridge in the last four
years. This is an outstanding achievement for any school, especially
for a school of such a size and shows the musical talent of pupils and
teachers within the community.
Tom Hole gained three A grades and two distinctions at Advanced
Extension Award Level amongst a total 14 pupils gained Advanced
Extension Awards at either distinction or merit level. Advanced
Extension Awards are proving popular with both pupils and Universities
showing the extra commitment by pupils to their subjects, and we were
very pleased with the results this year.
Prior Park’s Headmaster, Dr Giles Mercer said, "I am absolutely
delighted by the achievement of all our pupils they and their teachers
have worked extremely hard to achieve these excellent results."
