This week cliftondiocese.com has been highlighting our World Youth Day pilgrims. We continue the series with a fascinating chat with two young people enriched by their faith.
World Youth Day is the largest youth event in the world. It takes pace in Sydney from 15 to 20 July and around 15 young people from around the Clifton Diocese are taking part.
We chatted with some of our pilgrims at a recent meeting to finalise details of the trip. You can hear from them as cliftondiocese.com brings you a podcast a day throughout this week. Listen to and download today’s podcast in the multimedia panel on the right.
Today Shaun from Swindon and Lizzy from Bath talk to us. Shaun tells us of the superb support he and fellow pilgrims from St Peter’s parish in Swindon have been given by parishioners and Parish Priest Father Michael Saunders. While Lizzy, a trainee teacher, thinks a World Youth Day in England would bring great benefits!
We talked with Antonia and Rachel from Holy Family in Patchway, Bristol when we launched this series on Monday. Yesterday it was Lucy and Annabel from Swindon’s St Peter’s.
Amazingly two places have become available for this fantastic pilgrimage to World Youth Day! If you’d like to find out more call Ronnie Mitchinson on 0117 902 5595.
