Adrian Brown, the St Vincent de Paul Society (SVP) Bristol District Secretary, writes for
cliftondiocese.com with more about the SVP’s
awareness month in September.
Do you have one hour per week to spare?
If so you could be a great help to the St Vincent de Paul Society who need people for visiting and giving support to elderly people, single parents and families in difficulties, asylum seekers, homeless peoples or other people in need of support.
Also, members who can make it, meet for about 30 minutes generally once per week for spiritual and other support and to plan and discuss the voluntary work.
The SVP is a Roman Catholic Christian parish-based charity although it is open also to people of all faith and none.
To find out more, please contact your local parish SVP conference i.e. parish group or the SVP
national office on 0207 407 4644 or email
