Clifton Cathedral will launch a podcast on Sunday 3 December. The
podcast is an introduction to many activities that make up life in
around the Cathedral parish in Bristol. It has been professionally
produced by radio and television producer, Mary Colwell – a Cathedral
parishioner – with contributions from people and groups in the parish.
Canon Robert Corrigan, Dean of the Cathedral, said, “I think the
podcast is a great way for people to find out about the Cathedral,
whether they are visiting our city or have just moved into the area.
“It was suggested that I should play it instead of a sermon on the
first Sunday of Advent but the podcast isn’t a sermon or a speech -
it’s an open invitation for people to come and join in our life and
community. It doesn’t say everything about us but I hope that people
will be encouraged by what they hear and will want to find out more.
Because in the end we aren’t talking about ourselves but about Jesus
Christ who is at the heart of everything we are.”
