A great opportunity to experience one of the world’s most exciting cultural events – the Glastonbury Festival – is open to people volunteering for the ‘Sanctuary Marquee’.
As usual there will be a Christian presence at this year’s Glastonbury Festival. Would you like to be part of this community, helping at the festival? And become part of the Christian church willing to demonstrate the love of Christ in action by offering festival goers a warm welcome, space to reflect and a willingness to listen?
The Sanctuary Marquee – the ‘Church at the Festival’ – needs volunteers from Thursday 26 June to Monday 30 June and we’re looking for you!
If you think that you could help and be part of our team, please get in touch by emailing Doug Lowe by 16 March.
You’ll need to be able to commit to some important training days, be over 18 (on 6 June 2008) and live in the South West. The Sanctuary Marquee will provide you with quality training, and perhaps opportunity of a lifetime to enjoy Glastonbury’s world class festival.
The Sanctuary Marquee works with Somerset Churches Together, and provides the ‘Church at the Festival’. It is on Church Lane on the festival site.
The Catholic presence at last year’s festival was popular, with a well-attended Mass and a visit by Bishop Declan. So make sure it’s you this year!
