Bishop Declan will be on BBC radio this Sunday - live from the Basilica of St Pius X in Lourdes.
Bishop Declan will be preparing for the International Mass which is one of the highlights of the diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes. He will be talking with BBC Bristol and BBC Somerset’s Trevor Fry as part of ‘Sunday Starts’.
The Bishop is leading the diocesan pilgrimage to Lourdes this week (Friday 22 August to Friday 29 August). Many Catholics from the West of England are with him marking the 150th anniversary of the French town becoming a place of pilgrimage.
There will be regular podcasts and pictures on cliftondiocese.com - so people back home can feel that they are part of the pilgrimage.
Bishop Declan will be on air at about at about 7.10 am. ‘Sunday Starts’, with Trevor Fry, runs from 6.00 am to 10.00 am this and every Sunday.
