Mass Celebrated for Staff at Bristol University
The University of Bristol Catholic Chaplaincy hosted Mass for staff on a
recent. The Mass was concelebrated by Canon Robert Corrigan, Dean of
Clifton Cathedral, and the University Chaplain, Father Robert King.
Staff from a wide range of academic disciplines attended, and it was particularly heartening to see the growing number of Polish citizens working at the University well represented in the congregation.
The importance of academic enquiry inspired by love of God and neighbour was a central theme of Father Robert’s homily, and prayers were also offered for the needs of students embarking on their examinations.
The Mass was followed by a pleasant reception. It is hoped to organise a similar event near the beginning of the next academic session in October 2006.
