More from the Mass of Chrism
Minutes before the Mass celebration starts, we find the servers waiting patiently at the west door of Clifton Cathedral.
With the sound of the bell they lead the large procession of Deacons and Priests who have assembled to affirm their unity and commitment to the local Church.
Bishop Declan joins the procession to celebrate the Mass.
During the Mass the Holy Oils are blessed and the Chrism is consecrated, ready to be used throughout the communities within the Clifton Diocese during the coming year.
The Holy Oils carefully carried by the Deacons at the conclusion of Mass ready to be distributed to the 13 Deans.
