World Youth Day (WYD) pilgrims from dioceses of Clifton, Plymouth and Portsmouth met together for the first time last Saturday (21 June) in Father Kevin Hennessey’s parish of Our Lady’s in Churchdown.
Day for Life is the day in the Church’s year dedicated to celebrating the sacredness of life. This year it will focus on the theme of mental health. It will help raise awareness of the needs of those affected by mental ill-health, their friends, their family and their carers, and the support that the parish community can bring. It is celebrated on Sunday 6 July.
Sea Sunday is when the Catholic Church remembers all those who live and work at sea - a particularly large employer in areas of the Clifton Diocese. It is celebrated on 13 July.
