A varied and innovative programme of events to support our priests in their parish ministry has been revealed by our Director of Ongoing
Formation
for Priests.
Planning ahead, Father Christopher Whitehead, has just sent details to all our priests so they can pencil dates into their diaries during the academic year from September to next July.
Father Christopher tells us about the events he’s organised and how priest and parishes will benefit from them. You can listen to his thoughts in our podcast in the multimedia panel on the right.
When writing to our priests with the news of the packed programme, Father Christopher said: “I hope there is something that will interest you and plenty to support you in your life as a priest and all you do for the people of our parishes.
“Once again there is a rich diet of opportunity for us – spiritually, pastorally, liturgically as well as theologically and academically. We have managed to secure some terrific speakers who have willingly accepted the invitation to come to our diocese and lead these formation sessions for us.”
Our formation days are important for our priests. As well as feeding minds and hearts they also provide an opportunity for priest to meet socially and to support one another as priests of our diocese.
Priests can find out more and book themselves onto the days by contacting Ronnie Mitchinson
at our Department for Adult
Education and Evangelisation on 0117 902 5595.
You can download a leaflet about each event in the programme in the multimedia panel on the right.
