Papal Visit Coordinator's Video

17 March 2010

The coordinator of Pope Benedict's XVI's visit to the United Kingdom has spoken about the unique occassion.

Monsignor Andrew Summersgill has been working hard already.  In a video message he tells us about the uniqueness of the visit and looks ahead to an exciting time for Catholics in our countries.

Monsignor Andrew confirms details of the Pope's schedule and emphasises the difference there'll be compared with the last papal visit in 1982.  He highlights the official website thepapalvisit.org.uk as the best place to find out the most up-to-date information in the build up to the papal visit to the UK.  The top quality website will also provide the best coverage during the visit - a great place for you to follow the visit virtually.

I hope and pray that through Pope Benedict words and message, churches of all denominations will be fired up by the Holy Spirit to seek oneness in the Eucharist. Without that oneness we remain a poor and contradictory witness to Christ.
