Papal Visit Pilgrim Leaders Important Information

24 July 2010

The Clifton Diocese Papal Visit Coordinator Father Michael McAndrew has written to all our parishes and contacted pilgrim leaders with important information about how we can take part in the papal visit.

In his letter to our parish priests, Father Michael says: “I would like to thank you for the way you have met the deadlines which have we have been set in finding pilgrim leaders for Birmingham and London.

“We now have almost all the pilgrim leaders in place for the Beatification Mass at Cofton Park and for the Prayer Vigil at Hyde Park.

“With those two events, the youth occasion, and the participation of our Catholic schools in the ‘Big Assembly’, it means that almost 4,000 people from the Clifton Diocese will take part in the papal visit.

The details of what Father Michael is asking pilgrim leaders to do can be downloaded in the multimedia panel on the right.

You can hear much more information from Father Michael in today’s podcast (24 July) which is available in multimedia panel on the right.

If you would like to be part of the pilgrimage to the Prayer Vigil at Hyde Park or the Beatification Mass at Cofton Park, please contact your parish priest as soon as possible and he will be able to direct you to your local pilgrim leader.
