Parish Enjoys Strawberry Tea

29 June 2008

Ducks and geese mingled with members of St John Fisher, Wellington with St Richard, Wiveliscombe parish on the last Sunday (22 June), when they enjoyed their annual strawberry tea at parishioner Mark Yvon’s idyllic setting of Manor Mill holiday cottages in Waterrow.

Bordered by the River Tone in its deep valley setting, members of the Wiveliscombe congregation welcomed churchgoers from across the parish and raised funds towards the resurfacing of their car park at St Richard’s.

Parish Priest Father Bob Rainbow said, “Blessed with good weather, it was a marvellous way for parishioners from across the extensive parish to get to know each other better and to painlessly raise needed funds!”
