Bishop Declan invites you to come to the Cathedral for the launch of ‘Parishes in Communion for Mission’. Following comprehensive consultation this new booklet outlines our vision for the future organisation of parishes.
Bishop Declan said: “Our parishes are being encouraged to work more closely with one another in the mission of the Church. All God’s faithful people are being asked to look again at what is the essential role of the priest and the responsibility of every individual Catholic as a member of the Body of Christ.
“I would like to thank you and everyone who took part in the consultation which resulted in the draft report presented to you last October. As a result of this further consultation and your written feedback important changes have been made to the original proposals.”
Tea and coffee will be available from 6.30pm in the Apostle Room for those who arrive early. Parish priests should let Alessia Dini know the number of people who will be coming from your parish. You can contact Alessia on 0117 973 3072.
