Parishioners’ Nocturnal Activity

26 February 2009

Hardy parishioners from St Nicholas of Tolentino in Bristol’s inner city are preparing for a night in the open as they look forward to joining with hundreds of others to raise funds for homeless people on Friday (27 February).  You can hear three of St Nick’s happy campers in our podcast.

You can listen to Betty, Catherine and Andrew talk about why they are braving the elements in podcast which you can download in the multimedia panel on the right.

Other St Nick’s parishioners are also taking part along with Sister Bernadette Sammon - the organiser of St Nick’s much-needed ministry of the door.  They are supporting Alabaré Christian Care Centres at the sleep out taking place at Pip ‘n’ Jay church just up the road from St Nick’s.

At St George’s parish in Warminster another 30 people are sleeping out with the majority coming from their congregation supported by friends.
