Pictures from the Chrism Mass
The Mass of Chrism was celebrated in Clifton Cathedral by Bishop Declan earlier today (12 April).
Our pictures set the scene at the Mass celebrated at the Mother Church of the Clifton Diocese.
The Church was full of people from around the diocese which indicates the popularity of this annual event.
Many people have travelled from around Wiltshire, Somerset, Gloucestershire as well as Bristol to take part.
Our pictures show the large congregation gathering, the oils awaiting collection before blessing and the oils after being blessed by Bishop Declan.
