Preparing for Parishes in Communion for Mission Meetings

20 December 2010

Bishop Declan has written to all our parishes as he looks forward to meetings in each of the four counties in our diocese.

In his letter to our parish priests Bishop Declan said: “Following the launch of ‘Parishes in Communion for Mission’ which took place in the Cathedral on the 23 June, I am holding a meeting in four venues around the diocese.  The meetings are the next step in the implementation in ‘Parishes in Communion for Mission’ I hope that you and your parish council can be with me at these meetings.”

The meeting will take place in the new year.  The details are below.
Tuesday 1 February at St Bernadette’s, Whitchurch, Bristol
Tuesday 8 February at St Peter’s, Swindon
Tuesday 22 February at St Patrick’s, Brockworth, Gloucester
Tuesday 1 March at St George’s, Taunton

The meetings will run from 7.00 pm until 8.30 pm.

Bishop Declan has asked our former Papal Visit Coordinator Father Michael McAndrew to coordinate the implementation of the next step of ‘Parishes in Communion for Mission’.

We’ll hear much more from Father Michael here on cliftondiocese.com in the new year about the next step of our pastoral guidelines ‘Called to be a People of Hope’.
