Radio Appointment Ahead of Medical Meeting

The professor giving a this week organised by the Catholic Medical Association was live on the BBC yesterday (15 Januray).

Professor Ruud ter Meulen the Director of the Centre for Ethics in Medicine at the University of Bristol was a guest on BBC Radio Bristol and BBC Somerset’s ‘Sunday Starts’. If you missed his conversation with presenter Trevor Fry you can still listen online. Professor Ruud features around 2 hours and 10 minutes into the programme.

Professor Ruud’s talk is the focus for a joint meeting of the Catholic Medical Association and Christian Medical Fellowship to mark the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity.

After critical reports from the Patients’ Association and the Care Quality Commission, the title of the talk is ‘What has happened to patient care in the UK?’

The meeting takes place at the newly restored St James Priory, in the heart of Bristol next to Bristol Bus Station on Wednesday (18 January).

The evening begins with ecumenical prayer at 7.00 pm with refreshments at 7.20 pm. The meeting starts 7.45 pm.
