Seeking the Face of Christ - Lenten Gatherings

During Lent Bishop Declan is holding a series of meetings throughout the diocese as we put together pastoral guidelines for the years ahead. These Saturday morning meetings are intended for clergy and laity, especially members of parish pastoral councils and deanery pastoral councils. The nature of each meeting will be the same – so you are invited to come to one of the gatherings.

The dates and venues are:

Saturday 3 March, St John’s Pastoral Centre, Trowbridge
Saturday 10 March, St George’s Pastoral Centre, Taunton
Saturday 24 March, Sacred Hearts, Charlton Kings, Cheltenham
Saturday 31 March, The Cathedral, Clifton, Bristol

Each gathering will start at 10.00 am and finish at 1.00 pm.

Bishop Declan said, “The purpose of these meetings is to start a diocesan process of putting together pastoral guidelines which can be used by all the parishes and other communities that make up our diocese.

“Some parishes and deaneries have already started a process of looking at their pastoral needs and resources and these will be able to share with others their experiences and good practice.”
