Spanish Mystics & English Martyrs

25 February 2010

Monsignor Canon Jeremy Rigden VG invites you to join him on a pilgrimage-holiday to Valladolid in Central Spain.

The visit takes place from 31 May to 7 June.

You’ll stay at the Royal College of St Alban (the English College), founded in 1589 and for over four centuries, preparing young men for the priesthood in England and Wales.  All rooms there are en suite and lifts are available.

Monsignor Jeremy was a student and, later on, Vice Rector of the College so you’re in expert hands for this special opportunity.  He has an intimate knowledge of the area and is fluent in Spanish.

Monsignor Jeremy says: “We shall have the opportunity to explore the City of Valladolid itself; there will be excursions to Avila, Segovia and Salamanca; and a unique opportunity to enjoy the hospitality, food and drink, unusual countryside and special atmosphere of the ‘real Spain’.”

Take a look at the photos of Valladolid in our image gallery on the right.  You can download further details and an application form in the multimedia panel on the right.  You’ll need to fill that in swiftly to secure your place on this special trip.   The closing date is 21 March.

Monsignor Jeremy is Parish Priest of Holy Family in Swindon and one of our Vicars General.  You can contact him on 01793 527931.
