Spring: Awakening to the Wellsprings of the Earth

1 and 2 February 2010
Location: Emmaus House
Address: Clifton Hill, Bristol BS8 1BN
Time: 10.00 am

Short retreat workshops to gain a richer appreciation of the ever-changing seasons by focusing on some of the central challenges that face us today.

The retreat begins at 10.00 am on Monday 1 February and runs until 4.00 pm on Tuesday 2 February.

“If we see the world as a super-organism of which we are a part – not the owner, or the tenant – we could have along time ahead of us and our species might survive for its allotted span.  It all depends on you and me”, claims James Lovelock in a brilliant book entitled 'Living with the Planet'.

The first session starts within the season of spring.  Seen as a season of promise it is a time for the first flowers to bud forth and the earth to awaken.  This fresh vitality might be a real opportunity to wake up to the wonders of the earth that are worth preserving.

This cost is £70.00 residential and £40.00 non-residential.

Subsequent dates are 4 and 5 May (summer); 6 and 7 September (autumn); 1 and 2 November (winter).
