St Bede’s Catholic College in Lawrence Weston has been judged to be outstanding by Ofsted and the Clifton Diocese.
St Bede’s pupils have achieved the best ever GCSE results, placing the college amongst the very best in the country.
Year 11 consisted of 189 pupils all of whom sat GCSE’s and a number of whom took AS level examinations, one year early. Here are the figures:
87% pupils achieved at least 5 A* - C grades
100% achieved at least 5 A* - G grades
82% grades were at A* - C
84% achieved a double award in Science
67% pupils achieved at least 5 A*- C which included Mathematics and English
98% pupils achieved at least 1 C grade
Average points per pupil 428
56% pupils achieved at least one top grade
